Day-to-day workflow
- Confirm commercial vs residential ship-to (FedEx pricing often differs).
- Enter finished package weight and dimensions.
- Get rates across FedEx, UPS, and USPS.
- Select extras under insurance and signature.
- Create and print, then drop off or arrange pickup.
Carrier settings
- Default ship-from and return address
- BYOA connection status
- Label size preferences
- Per-shipment extras
Integration notes
- Saturday delivery, hold-at-location, and specialty services appear only when the carrier returns them for that shipment.
- Dimensional weight and unauthorized package charges are common FedEx adjustment drivers — measure honestly.
- Platform vs BYOA rate sources can diverge; verify which account is billed before purchase.
- Void labels you will not use via void and download.
Troubleshooting tips
- No FedEx rates — check address type, weight/dims, and rates not showing.
- Higher than expected — residential surcharge, DIM, signature, or Saturday options.
- BYOA not applying — reconnect FedEx; confirm the rate row shows your account source.
- Pickup / drop-off confusion — label purchase does not always schedule pickup; use schedule pickup when you need a driver visit.
