Insurance and signature options

Signature and insurance (coverage) are optional extras. They change the rate and appear only when the selected carrier service supports them.
Signature
Use when the package is high value or must be handed to a person.
- Select a service in the rate shop.
- Choose the signature option offered (indirect, direct, adult — wording varies by carrier).
- Purchase; the requirement prints on the label / carrier record.
- Tell the recipient someone must be available if adult signature is required.
Insurance / coverage
- Enter declared value when the UI asks.
- Confirm the coverage partner / carrier option shown for that service.
- Keep invoices and photos; claims follow the coverage provider’s process (not a generic postage refund).
Tips
- Extras can remove cheap services from the table — if rates vanish, clear extras and re-quote
- Signature does not replace a correct address
- Platform vs BYOA may offer different extras — check the rate source
