Multi-package shipments

Multi-package shipments put several cartons on one order. Each piece needs its own weight and dimensions; carriers may price per piece or as a multi-piece shipment.

When to use

• One order needs two or more boxes
• You want one order record with multiple label PDFs

Steps

1. Open the order or Get Label flow.
2. Enter package 1 (weight + L×W×H).
3. Add package 2+ as the UI allows.
4. Get rates and read whether pricing is combined or per piece.
5. Purchase and print each label.
6. Affix the correct label to each carton (do not swap).

Tips

• Missing dims on one piece often empties the rate table — rates not showing
• Portal presets are usually one package per checkout; multi-piece is mainly dashboard/API
• Under-declaring piece count to “save money” leads to adjustments
