Plans unlock different tools: everyone can learn rate shopping; store connections, portals, and API access typically require higher tiers such as Business.
How to think about plans
| Need | Usually requires |

| Get rates / buy labels | Account + Billing for platform postage |
| WooCommerce / eBay connections | Plan with store connections (often Business) |
| Customer portals | Plan that includes portals |
| Integrations API / webhooks / MCP | API-enabled plan (often Business+) |

Choosing a plan
- List must-haves: stores, portals, API, multi-user.
- Open Plans / billing in your account (or the public pricing page).
- Upgrade before you try to connect a store if the UI says your plan does not include it.
- After upgrading, refresh and retry Connect / publish portal.
Billing vs postage
- Plan fee (if any) is your Nitromule subscription
- Postage for platform rates charges your payment method per label
- BYOA postage is billed by the carrier under your contract
