Create and print shipping labels

After you select a rate, Place Order charges platform postage (when applicable), creates the carrier label, and makes a PDF available via Download Label.

Before you Place Order

• Ship From, Ship To, weight, and dimensions are correct
• You ran Get rates and chose a service with Select service
• For platform rates: a card under Account → Billing → Payment methods
• For store fulfills: you started from the Orders row (Create Label), not a disconnected Get Label — one-off vs order labels
• Printer matches Settings → Printing → Labels → Label format

Steps — create the label

1. Finish Get rates and Select service.
2. Review Options (signature, coverage, drop-off vs pickup).
3. Select Continue.
4. On checkout, select Place Order (wait if the payment form is still preparing).
5. When the order succeeds, status moves toward Shipment Ready (or Pickup Scheduled if you scheduled pickup).
6. Select Download Label from Orders (or open Labels & tracking on the order).

Steps — print

1. Open the PDF from Download Label.
2. Print at 100% / actual size — turn off fit-to-page.
3. Use the size from Settings → Printing → Labels (common: 4 × 6 in PDF or 8.5 × 11 in PDF).
4. Affix the label flat; do not fold the barcode over an edge.

If something is wrong

Payment

• Nitromule rates: postage is charged to your Billing payment method at Place Order.
• Your own carrier account rates: the carrier bills that account; Nitromule may not charge platform postage for that row.
