On this page
Customers trust a portal that looks like your brand. Configure appearance and the public hostname in Portal settings — not in the main marketing site admin.
Where to click
- Open Portal in the workspace.
- Select the portal you are editing.
- Use:
- General — subdomain and core portal options (including lock-address settings)
- Appearance — Theme mode, Branding, Theme, and Social Media
Branding steps
- Open Portal → Appearance.
- Under Branding, upload your logo (and dark-mode logo if you use a dark theme).
- Under Theme / Theme mode, set colors so buttons stay readable on phones.
- Add social URLs under Social Media if you want them in the portal chrome.
- Save.
Subdomain
- Open Portal → General.
- Set Subdomain to a brand-specific name (system hosts like
help/docsare reserved). - Save, then open
https://<subdomain>.nitromule.com(or your stack’s portal host) in a private window. - Confirm TLS loads and the logo/theme match what you saved.
Custom domain
If your portal supports a custom domain field:
- Enter the domain Nitromule shows in portal settings.
- Create the DNS record Nitromule displays (commonly a CNAME).
- Wait for HTTPS to finish provisioning before sharing the link.
- Share only
https://URLs.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Fix |
|---|---|
| Subdomain rejected / taken | Pick another name; avoid reserved system hosts |
| Old logo still shows | Hard-refresh or private window; re-save Appearance |
| Wrong theme on one page | Confirm you edited the same portal you are previewing |
