Connect your eBay account to Nitromule

Updated 2026-09-07

On this page

Connect eBay so awaiting-shipment orders import into Nitromule. Rate shop UPS, USPS, and FedEx, create labels from the order, and push tracking back to buyers on eBay.

eBay integration requirements

Before you connect:

  • A Nitromule account on a plan that includes store connections (Business)
  • An active eBay seller account you can authorize
  • A default ship-from address saved in Nitromule
  • A browser that can complete eBay’s OAuth consent screen (allow pop-ups for nitromule.com if needed)
Note

Nitromule imports orders that are eligible for shipping fulfillment. Drafts, unpaid listings, or restricted categories may not appear until eBay marks them ready to ship.

Connect eBay to Nitromule

1. Set your ship-from address

Rates and labels need a default ship-from before you fulfill eBay orders.

  1. Sign in at nitromule.com.
  2. Open your account (profile icon).
  3. Under Address Book, open Addresses.
  4. Add the location you ship packages from and set it as the default Ship From address.

2. Start OAuth from Stores

  1. In Nitromule, open Stores.
  2. Choose eBay and select Connect (or Authorize).
  3. Sign in to eBay if prompted.
  4. Review the permissions Nitromule requests and select Agree / Allow.
  5. When the window closes, confirm the eBay store card shows as Connected in Nitromule.
Tip

If the OAuth window closes without connecting, disable pop-up blockers for nitromule.com, retry Connect, and complete the consent screen in one pass.

3. Sync orders

  1. On the eBay store card, select Sync (or wait for background sync).
  2. Open Orders and filter to Incomplete / awaiting shipment.
  3. Confirm recent paid eBay orders appear with ship-to addresses and line items.

Available features for eBay

Feature What it does
Order import Pulls eligible paid / awaiting-shipment orders into Nitromule
Background sync Keeps the queue updated without keeping Orders open
Rate shop Compare UPS, USPS, and FedEx on each order
Label purchase Buy postage from the imported order record
Tracking sync Pushes tracking number, carrier, and service back to eBay after purchase
Bulk fulfill Select multiple imported orders for batch label workflows
Download / void Download Label or Void unused labels from Nitromule

Day-to-day workflow

  1. New eBay orders land in Incomplete on the orders dashboard.
  2. Open an order and confirm ship-to, weight, and dimensions (eBay item data is a starting point — verify packaging).
  3. Get rates and place the order from that order.
  4. Confirm tracking appears on the eBay order for the buyer.
  5. If you need the PDF again, download — do not buy a second label first.
Important

Create labels from the imported order, not as a standalone Get Label shipment. One-off labels do not update the eBay order or push tracking. See one-off vs order labels.

Store settings in Nitromule

On the eBay store card you can typically:

  • Reconnect OAuth if authorization expires or sync fails with auth errors
  • Run a manual Sync
  • Disconnect when you stop using the channel

Integration notes

  • Only orders eligible for shipping fulfillment import. Cancelled or refunded eBay orders may map to voided/refunded states and should not be labeled.
  • eBay handling-time, category, and policy rules still apply on eBay’s side — Nitromule does not replace those policies.
  • Weight and dimensions from the listing may be incomplete; inaccurate packaging is a common cause of unexpected rates and carrier adjustments.
  • Multi-quantity or multi-line orders may need package consolidation decisions before you rate shop.

Troubleshooting tips

  • OAuth did not stick — retry Connect with pop-ups allowed; complete consent without closing the window early.
  • Orders missing — confirm the order is paid / awaiting shipment on eBay; Sync again; check that you authorized the correct eBay account.
  • Tracking did not push — confirm you bought the label from the imported order (not Get Label); Sync; see Troubleshoot eBay order sync.
  • Wrong ship-from on rates — set the default Shipping address in Nitromule, then reopen the order.
  • Authorization / permission errors on sync — Reconnect OAuth, then Sync again.
